An Education and Training Manager is required to provide local management of teaching staff to a small team for a Young Offenders Institution in the South East. The Education and Training Manager would implement the curriculum and timetable so that trainees learn and acieve effectively. You will provide curriculum leadership and contribute to and oversee teaching and learning in the establishment. You will be required to monitor student attendance, performance and achievements so that contractual actual targets are met and ILPs and other records are comprehensive and current. You will develop and implement schemes of work in order to accomodate the needs of trainees and increase progression and achievement. You will also ensure upkeep of appropriate records and files so that information is available for inspection and contract monitoring. You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent Qualified Teaching Status (QTS or FE) in a related subject. If you are keen to work with Young Offenders we need to hear from you.
